Attracting top talent in the legal industry is proving challenging at present. With the obstacles the industry is currently facing, recruiters must ensure that all aspects of their recruitment processes are updated and engaging. This is no different for job adverts.

At Simply Law Jobs, we have been working with professionals in the industry to find out more about what factors they consider when looking for a new job, and why they’re searching, to help recruiters improve their job adverts and understand what professionals in the industry are considering at this point.

We surveyed professionals in the legal industry about their job search, which can be found in our recently launched annual report. You can view the figures below:

Jobseekers were asked to answer three questions:

  1. Why are you searching for a new job?
  2. How often do you search for jobs?
  3. What’s the most important factor when searching for a new job?
  4. Would you still apply for a job if it didn’t display salary information?
  5. How often do you receive a pay rise?
  6. How far would you be willing to travel for a new job?
